A road trip across Montana
and the world doesn't feel that
small as we say.
My husband and I
longing for a new couple- quest
with God.
Striking bodies of mountains
wearing forest' coats
now defrost by summer.
The sky pristine
great
wide open
stretches downward
and stays low
to meet the eyes
of my soul
now content.
White jasmine
clouds
hanging
still
not to shade on
more to marvel
the play
of my mind.
Glistening blue rivers
leaping over the past
to silence the present.
Emerald valleys
dancing
with golden grasslands.
Herds of cattle
grazing
or resting
in waist - deep
abundance
They unearth
a treasure
called peace.
Across the broken flow
of praries and meadows
the wild horses gather
knowing that freedom
makes you hold
the head up
We stop to look directly
at them
remembering
the red man
came first
the white men
followed,
robbed and
claimed
the sacred land
of fortune.
Our ancestors
carving
a bloody path
where history
was made
and lost
My heart sunken in memory...
We must forgive each other
recover joy,
embody the wisdom of ancient traditions.
We keep driving across Montana
sublimes views
of God's fullness.

Outside the windows
the Sunday's stillness
conquer the urban.
The sky is eloquent
crystals flakes falling...
lodged in plentiful home
all is gratifying. I offer a tray of breakfast
to my beloved, while still in bed
An old ritual we left behind years ago
when we choose to rise with "training our mind".
But to commence this holy day with the old order of things
make us - lovers of life -
appreciate the life's swing.

Laugh it off
make the jaw relax its box
teeth beading space
mouth full of nothing
belly giggling
throat erupting
chest temple unlocking
the heart arches to tell the mind
"you are not this thought
so laugh it off".

it ascends alone
like all leaders do
Spouse to nights it will never meet
brother to a moon it will never embrace
best friend to a sore earth it can only feed in tidial swirls.
The whole humanity worship or ignore it
hungry rolling
until nothing remains.
Orange dwarf in nature
White giant in essence
